All in the Family

I am proud to say that Pysanky will not end with me in our family.  As a child I was introduced to Pysanky through our longtime family traditions.  It was passed on through the generations which started in the Ukraine.  My great-grandparents came to the United States in 1912 and they celebrated this beautiful art form by passing it on to their children.  I am proud to say that I have continued that tradition.  All of my girls know how to do Pysanky and even help me teach classes and do demostrations at their schools and in our community.  They have made beautiful eggs appropriate to their age and will always be keepsakes in our family.

My work and what it means to me!

Pysanky is a source of comfort and pride to me.  It takes forthought, patience and a precise eye.   I create my eggs all year around; not out of neccessity but out of love for the art.  I cherish being able to teach this art form since it is not well known.  I feel it is my responsibility to help make sure it doesn't die out.  It has a rich beautiful history that I am proud to be apart.  I believe I am very accomplished at creating these very beautiful and intricate works of art.
Thank You for showing interest in me and my creations!
